The goal of these ministries is to provide an atmosphere that enhances community celebration and worship.


Altar Server Coordinator

Our coordinators train, schedule, and mentor our Altar Servers.

Time Commitment: 2 hours month


Baptism Set-Up Team

This team assists us in welcoming the newest members to our Church by setting up and cleaning up before and after the Baptism.

Time Commitment:10 minutes after the 12:00 Mass (8-10 times/year).


Communion Service Leader (M-W-F @12:15pm)

These leaders conduct a short Communion Service, allowing parishioners to receive Communion at our 12:15 Communion Services on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Time Commitment: 20 minutes per service


Eucharistic Adoration Coordinator

Our coordinators schedule our Adoration members with their commitment to make a one-hour retreat with Jesus each week.

Time Commitment: Approximately ½ hour per week or as needed.


Eucharistic Adoration Member

It’s a one-hour retreat.  No phones.  No noise, just peace and quiet with the Lord.  How would you like some one-on-one time with Jesus?  You will find just that in our Adoration Chapel.  There is no limit to the graces you will receive while keeping God company.

Time Commitment: 1 hour per week.


Lay Witness Speaker

These gifted people share their faith story with the parish.  They provide a strong message about giving of one’s gifts (time, talent, and financial resources) in gratitude for what God has given them.  Skills needed:  Comfortable speaking to a group about your personal faith story.

Time Commitment: Once a year at the Mass of your choice.


Lector (Minister of the Word)

As a Minister of the Word, you would bring to life the Old and New Testament personalities, happenings, and teachings while reading at the Mass of your choice

Time Commitment: 1 Mass per month.


Mentor for Pre-Marriage Preparation and/or Newly Married Couples

These couples share their secret to a successful marriage through pre-marriage sessions with couples preparing for marriage.

Time Commitment: 2 hours each session, 3-4 times/year.


Prayer Group Leader

Organize and facilitate a Prayer Group.  Our prayer leaders provide a prayerful atmosphere for our prayer group participants to pray.

Time Commitment: 1 hour per week.


Prayer Group Participant

Our prayer group participants make a commitment to a spiritual practice, meeting regularly.  Together they share prayer, silence, reflection, and their experiences as they explore our connectedness to God, the broad web of life, and how we are sustained in carrying out our mission in the world.

1 hour per week.


Prayer “Warrior” Partner

These individuals make the commitment to pray in the privacy of their homes or at church for our sick listed in the ledger, our couples who are getting married at St. Peter, our babies who are being baptized, etc.  Make the difference, become a Prayer Warrior!

Time Commitment: ½ hour per week or whatever time you have to give


Rosary Prayer Leader (Before Mass)

These individuals share the Rosary, an ancient, beautiful, and powerful prayer of devotion to God, through devotion to Mary by means of a series of prayers and meditations on the life of Jesus and Mary.  Help us share this beautiful prayer before Mass.

Time Commitment: 20 minutes before Mass once a month.



Behind the scenes is a small group of people who do their best to make the Mass or other services meaningful, spiritual, and efficient.  Under the guidance of Mrs. Denise Bommarito, the sacristans ensure that the altar is prepared for every service and the priests who serve St. Peter's have everything they need.

Time Commitment: 2 hours once a month.


SME (Special Minister of the Eucharist)

Please assist us in administering the body and blood of the Lord to fellow parishioners at the Mass of your choice.  It is an honor to be able to serve Christ in this fashion.

Time Commitment: 1 Mass per month.


Stations of the Cross Leader

Our volunteers lead fellow parishioners in the Stations of the Cross.

Time Commitment: 1 hour once a year.


St. Peter Altar Society

The Altar Society is a group of dedicated and devoted women that come together to give of their energy and talents for the good of the parish family, the glory of God, and with a commitment that distinguishes the society as one of service.  They provide, as far as possible, the things used about the Altar and in the Sanctuary (they have provided our new albs for our altar servers this year). Sign up today to be a part of this very inspirational group of ladies.

Time Commitment: Meet once a month September-December and March-June, and as needed, on various projects held throughout the year.



Our ushers do a wonderful job of creating a welcoming and prayerful atmosphere by greeting parishioners, taking up collections, assisting people throughout the Liturgy, and giving out the parish bulletin.

Time Commitment: 1 ½ hours per month.


Wake Service Minister

As a Wake Service Minister, you would visit the funeral home, pray the rosary or provide a scripture service for family and friends that are gathered the night before the funeral.

Time Commitment: 30-45 minutes per Wake Service (Scheduled on a rotating basis)


Wedding Rehearsal Coordinator

This fun ministry assists engaged couple’s through their rehearsal and wedding ceremony.

Time Commitment: 1 ½ hours for rehearsal and 2 hours for wedding
