Hospitality

 

The goal of these ministries is to provide fellowship, hospitality, and social support.

 

Bake or Prepare Food for Special Receptions

Many volunteers provide delicious treats or entrees throughout the year for our special receptions or gatherings.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours once or twice a year

 

Coffee & Donuts Server

These hospitable people help set up, clean up, and greet all who attend our coffee and donuts after the 7:30 and 10:00 Masses.

Time Commitment: 1/2 hour per month

 

Coffee & Donuts Team Leader (7:30 or 10:00 Mass)

Please consider your leadership abilities and your hospitable nature for this ministry.  These hospitable people help set up, clean up, and greet all who attend our coffee and donuts after the 7:30 and 10:00 Masses.

Time Commitment: 1 hour per week

 

Coffee & Donuts Vacuuming Crew

Stick around after the 10:00 Mass, fill up on our delicious coffee and donuts, then exercise those donuts away by vacuuming our hall.

Time Commitment: Approx. 1/2 hour per month

 

Greeter

Our greeters assist our ushers at welcoming all those who enter our church.

Time Commitment: 20 minutes before Mass

 

Ministry Fair

The Ministry Fair highlights activities of all the groups within the Parish.  Many volunteers are needed to coordinate, set up, run and clean up this event.  The Parish encourages participation among all of our fellow parishioners.

Time Commitment depends on job, typically 30-60 minutes a year at your desired Mass.

 

Historical Tours of the Church and New Parishioner Reception

Plan and secure refreshments for welcome receptions four times a year.  These volunteers provide a hospitable atmosphere while taking new parishioners on a historical tour of the parish and introducing them to the various ministries.

Time Commitment: Once a year, for one hour after the Mass of your choice.

 

Receptions and Socials Committee

Prepare for parish-wide social events as well as other functions.  Volunteers help with food preparation, serving and cleaning up.  Sometimes this committee is called upon to help with socials for other committees.

Time Commitment: 4-5 hours, 2 or 3 times per year

 

Welcome and Orientation Committee

The Welcome and Orientation Committee's purpose is to welcome new members into the parish family of St. Peter Catholic Church and assist them in registering in the parish.  All new parishioners are encouraged to attend the quarterly parish tour and familiarize themselves with the many ministries, programs and activities within the parish.  We need volunteers to mange a table in the vestibule of the Church before and after Mass.  Handouts (e.g., Parish Directory, Registration Forms, Commitment Forms, Sacrificial Giving Brochures, Adult Enrichment Flyers, etc.) will be made available to you.  being involved in this ministry places you as the face of St. Peter Parish.

Time Commitment: Once a week or month, according to your wishes, 30 minutes before Mass and 15 minutes after Mass
